WHAT
Meditation reduces stress and tension. It improves well-being, leads to stronger engagement and can strengthen team performance and employee productivity at work.
20-minute guided meditation sessions
Unlimited number of company employees
Access from anywhere
During lunch break or at times set by the company
In English, French or Dutch
WHY
Work-related psychosocial problems include occupational risks that affect the mental, emotional, and physical well-being of employees. They can negatively impact on the smooth functioning, performance, and safety of the employer’s work environment.
As part of an employer’s well-being program and
prevention plan, meditation is an effective tool
for preventing psychosocial problems at work. In addition, meditation can prevent harm resulting from these risks, and also be a powerful tool for the overall well-being of employees at work and in their personal lives.
Benefits
Numerous university studies (Groningen, Arizona, Stanford...) have confirmed the proven value of meditation in the workplace.
Quite simply, people who meditate regularly tend to greatly improve their problem-solving, innovation, and creativity skills. And employees who participated in meditation or stress reduction programs improved their ability to make decisions.
Meditation
reduces stress
and tension; it improves well-being and leads to a deeper sense of empathy,
stronger engagement, which can
strengthen team performance
and cooperation in the workplace, and finally improve overall employee productivity at work.
HOW
The 20-minute guided meditation sessions take place *remotely. They are organized at an agreed time and frequency during the lunch break (11.30am-2pm), or at times set by the company. They are open to an unlimited number of company employees. And participants can access the session from anywhere: their workplace, a meeting room and/or while working from home, as all they need is a pc and network access.
The meditation session is guided, meaning that participants listen to a series of relaxing visualizations. Gradually they will relax and become more and more still, their stress and tension will fade away – they will enter a state of deep relaxation and inner calm.
The meditation sessions are held in English, French or Dutch, and always start with a short introduction on how the session will take place, how the participants should sit or lie down, what they can expect from the session and some practical rules (speakers on mute, no obligation to keep their camera on…)
*
With the impact of COVID-19, these sessions have become virtual classes. The sessions are therefore easier and more accessible, and as a result, participation rates increase onsiderably.
who
Contrary to popular belief, you don’t need extraordinary spiritual abilities to practice meditation. Gender, age, religion, meditation experience, social conditioning: these factors are irrelevant to the practice of meditation.
Anyone can learn to meditate; and
anyone can do it
and benefit from doing it.
